Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Bosnia and Herzegovina

Igor Kalabukhov was born in Donetsk on 13th of March 1961.

He graduated from Moscow State Institute (University) of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation (MGIMO University) in 1983. 

He speaks English, Bulgarian and Serbian.

He started his diplomatic service in 1983.

Worked at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Embassies
 of the USSR/Russia in Bulgaria and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

2004-2010 – Minister-Counsellor of the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Bosnia and Herzegovina. 

2010-2020 – Deputy Director of the Fourth European Department
 of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. 

Has the diplomatic rank of Envoy Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary
 of the 1st class.

As of November 6, 2020 – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary
 of the Russian Federation to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Married, with a son and a daughter.
